  • The Seoul Institute is a comprehensive research institute focused on urban policies. The Seoul In¬stitute conducts a wide range of surveys and studies on a variety of urban concerns. The aim is to plan Seoul's future with a medium- to long-term vision. Our research areas include social policies on welfare, culture, education and industries and urban policies on city planning, housing, trans¬portation, and environment.

  • Beijing Municipal Institute of City Planning & Design (BICP) is an institution affiliated to Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning and responsible for the formulation of various urban and rural plans. As approved by the Ministry of Construction of China, BICP is a grade A planning and Design organization and aims to provide the services for Beijing municipal government’s macro decision-making on urban development and various construction projects.

  • The Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) was set up in 2008 based on a strategic blueprint developed by Singapore’s Inter-Ministerial Committee on Sustainable Development. The Centre’s mission is to distil, create and share knowledge on liveable and sustainable cities. CLC distils key learning points from Singapore’s experiences over the last half-century, while creating knowledge to address emerging challenges. It also shares knowledge with, and learns from, other cities and experts.

  • The HCMC Institute for Development Studies (HIDS) was established on 1st , October 2008 by unifying the Institute for Economic Research and the Social Science Institute (belonged to HCMC People’s Committee); and merging with Urban Planning Institute (an affiliate of the Department of Planning and Architecture).

  • Metropolis, World Association of the Major Metropolises, is the leading international organization that gathers cities and metropolitan regions with more than a million inhabitants. Created in 1985, the Metropolis Association is represented by more than 130 members from across the world and operates as an international forum for exploring issues and concerns common to all big cities and metropolitan regions. Metropolis also manages the Metropolitan Section of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG).
