Abstract

After earthquake in Gyung-Ju September 2016, it comes out that Korea is not the safe place from earthquake. Even more Seoul has active fault named ‘Choogaryung’. It means that Seoul should prepare for Earthquake Response System. However Seoul doesn’t have enough data related to earthquake risk and the System for self-check about earthquake resistance of buildings doesn’t work well. Against this backdrop, this study purposes to make geoinformation data related to earthquake risk and to suggest data application & management plans. Based on literature reviews, geoinformation data causing earthquake risks is classed as ground factors and construction factors. This study builds geoinformation data of earthquake vulnerability which Seoul city doesn’t have. The data is 8 types of ground factors and 8 types of construction factors which is used to analyze Seoul where is risky areas from earthquake. This study would contribute to raise earthquake resiliency in Seoul by supporting the self-check system about earthquake resistance of buildings.
