The housing area of Seoul is about 58% of the total city area, and a large proportion of the city area is planned with the rapid expansion of the city. The residential area constructed by the concept of superblock technique accounts for about 60% of the housing area, and 364 of them are distributed in total, small-size residential type 92(25%), apartment complex type 140(40%), and complex type 132(35%).

Compared with Radburn system and Perry’s superblock residential model and Seoul city, the superblock type is applied differently. Small-size residential areas are similar only in the form of superblock, and there is little planning consideration in terms of complexity such as green space, walking, and separation of roads. Under the high planning density, reconstruction and commercialization of multi- respectively. Apartment complexes were developed with proper density for high–density apartment residential type by adopting the concept of separating roads centering on road networks that do not allow passage traffic on a scale that can be moved by walking. However, it was found that there was insufficient consideration of urbanity, such as connection with surrounding areas and formation of a center. It is necessary to examine the characteristics of the mixed area by determining the degree of mixture of small residential areas and apartment complexes.
