The Smart Transportation Research Division performs research on ensuring convenient and comfortable movement of residents through overall diagnosis and improvement of Seoul’s transportation system (including public transit, road transportation, taxis and bicycles) as well as transportation strategies and policy support. The division is also at the forefront of improving quality of life by working on ways to expand the adoption of green transportation in response to climate change and by developing policies to better respond to the changing dynamics of future transportation – namely UAM and autonomous driving – and advancing AI and other forms of cutting-edge technology
